Immigration Counseling Services & Clinic
Immigration Counseling Services (ICS) UpdateVineyard Community Center remains deeply committed to serving immigrants and refugees in our community. Our faith calls us to welcome and care for our neighbors, especially those who are new to our country and navigating complex systems. That commitment has not changed.
As we look ahead, we are adjusting how we serve so that we can continue this work in a sustainable way.
What We Will Continue to OfferMoving forward, we will focus on services that support immigrant families and strengthen our community. These include:
- Asylum clinics in partnership with trusted local legal organizations
- Free health clinics
- Food pantry services
- ESL classes (English as a Second Language)
- Community support and help connecting to local resources
By working with trusted legal partners, we can continue to support immigrants while ensuring that legal services are provided through trusted referrals.
Change to Our Immigration Legal ServicesVineyard Community Center will no longer provide direct immigration legal representation through an in-house attorney.
In the past, Immigration Counseling Services (ICS) provided services such as:
- Legal consultations
- Help preparing immigration forms
- Case support
- Court representation
Over time, immigration law has become more complex. After careful review, we determined that providing direct legal representation is no longer sustainable within our organization.
This change does not mean we are stepping away from serving immigrants. Instead, we will continue to support our community by partnering with legal organizations that specialize in immigration law.
